How to celebrate Raksha Bandhan?
Sisters first decorate the plates and worship the brother by placing some rice, turmeric, roli, sandalwood, and burning incense in it and wearing rakhi on the wrist of the brother’s hand. Then the brother’s favorite sweet is fed to him and wishes for the brother’s happiness, prosperity, and long life. After tying the rakhi, the brother gives gifts to his sister and promises to protect her for the rest of her life.
Significance of Rakhi?
Raksha Bandhan is celebrate in the month of Shravana during the full moon day or Purnima day.
The best time to tie Rakhi to Raksha Bandhan is in the Aparahna period in the afternoon according to the Hindu section of the day. If the Aparahna period is not available then the Pradosh period is appropriate to perform rituals related to the Raksha Bandhan.
Raksha Bandhan rituals should not be perform during Bhadra. Bhadra is a cruel time to avoid in all good work. Many Hindu religious texts, including Vratraj, advise avoiding Bhadra’s time of arresting Rakhi during the Raksha Bandhan festival.
It should be note that Bhadra wins during the first half of Purnima Tithi. So one has to wait for Bhadra to pass before starting any good work. In Northern India, it is customary to arrest Rakhi in the morning which may not be the right time to do so. The Astroeshop team believes it may be due to ignorance. If such information is readily available one should avoid binding Rakhi during Bhadra.
Some sources suggest avoiding Bhadra Mukha and performing the Rakhi event during Bhadra Punchha if it should be done during Bhadra early in the morning. However, our team could not find the authority to confirm this belief.

History of Raksha Bandhan 2022?
There are many stories about the celebration of the Raksha Bandhan festival. Of which the following are the main two stories.
According to the Mahabharata, Lord Krishna had run the Sudarshan Chakra to kill the evil king Shishupala, when he got hurt in his hand. Draupadi tore her sari and tied it to the hand of Shri Krishna. Then Lord Shri Krishna promised to protect him for the rest of his life. Draupadi considered Lord Krishna as her brother.
According to another historical story, the queen of Chittor, Karnavati sent a rakhi to King Humayun and asked for a promise to protect her. Humayun saved the queen and Chittor from the king of Gujarat by honouring the Rakhi of Queen Karnavati.
